The Uptown Alliance, in an effort to curb crime in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood, evidently thought a story about career criminals contemplating an act of grand larceny would somehow be appropriate. Still one of the best ways to curb crime is the presence of artists in our public spaces. Umbrella Theatre was invited to put on a half hour taste of our full two-act pirate play. Interested in having the pirates perform for you, send us an e-mail UmbrellaTheatre@gmail.com.

And where can you get decent Thai food in 1983 Seattle?

My Lords and Ladies, it grieves me to trouble thy good souls for the favor of thy attention, but should you happen to make in passing good acquaintance with one Master Shipbuilder going he by the name of Noah, please convey to that same no-account, insubordinate, lager-swilling, wood-glue-sniffing, day-dreaming, wool-gathering, water-barrel-hanging-around, malingering miserable excuse for a mis-malleting boat-builder the following message:

The Paramouse Players would like to thank all the boys and girls and their parents and the other Umbrella Theatre groupies for coming to the show on Saturday. Rumor is that if management is willing to throw in three or four more boxes of Cheese Nips that the mice may return once again to grace the stage at St. Paul's.
And on the 7th day she rested....Kitty resting after the show.
Need a lighthearted lift for young and old, with plenty to ponder after the show? Come see "Creation" an original play by Robin Allan Jones based loosely on the Aesop's fable of the "Belling of the Cat." The mice, Kitty, Gilhooley, Jerome and Augustine, must use their wits and screw up their courage to try to get rid of a pesky cat problem without incurring the wrath of the God Mother. The play is being held in conjunction with the Spring Family Potluck and will be the entertainment.

Without further ado the Paramouse Players:
James Baldwin (Jerome), the eldest brother of the famous theatrical family, the Baldwin Brothers, is most celebrated for his achievements with the Stratford-on-Avon Shakespearean Company and Yard Waste Recycling Center, in Stehekin, Washington, where he gave what has been termed “Quite possibly the best Hamlet there ever was.”
Arthur Baldwin (Augustine), the younger of the famous family of theatrical Baldwin brothers, and therefore the more self-conscious and easily irritable of them—in fact, outright belligerent sometimes—is proud to be making his first appearance on our stage . . . possibly because he thinks he’s going to be paid
Dame Frieda Mouse (Kitty) is renowned the world over for her range and versatility in the remarkable variety of roles that she has played over a vast and stellar career; to name only a few:The Mouse in A Christmas Carol, the Rat in Animal House, and the second mouse in Cinderella, not to mention contributing her talents earlier in her career as a stunt double for the dead mouse in Of Mice and Men.
Michael Patrick Aloysius Xavier O’Toole (Gilhooley) is the night custodian at a local biotech.
The Creator of the Paramouse Players: Denise Minard
Denise Minard, is a long-time St. Paul's member, puppeteer, actor, ceramist and all around creative force to be reckoned with. Her motto: "I'm never as happy as when I have a glue gun in my hand!"
The Paramouse Players, created and nurtured with love!
